Specials for Camping At Movin' West

Spring and Fall Specials at Movin’ West RV Park will allow you to enjoy our favorite time's of the year. The tourist season is not at it's peak, instead of five hours to play your favorite 18 holes, play them in three. Enjoy brisk mornings and balmy days of hiking, fishing, and in the fall looking at autumn colors.

Spring and Fall are the quietest times in Graeagle. I was talking with one of our campers who expressed this by saying “you just can’t tell someone what is so special here. Pictures don’t do it, you have to experience the feel, the smell.”

There really is something different about the air in the High Sierra. The first thing we often hear from our campers is smell the pine trees.

The water in the lakes and streams is cool, and the fishing is at it's best. After you get camp set up go over to Mountain Hardware in Blairsden, talk to Mark in the sporting goods department. If anyone knows where their biting, and what on, it will be Mark.

Fishing is good in May and early June before it gets to warm, and picks back up again as temperatures cool in September. You can catch fish all season the bite just gets hotter at these times.

It is hard to say exactly when the fall colors will be at their peak, but it is normally the last week in September that we start seeing some and through October, they are really spectacular. The best place to follow their progress is at the leaf Peepers pages. There you will find reports and pictures of where the colors are at their best. I suggest you take a quick look there to see some of last fall’s colors.

Phyllis and I enjoy being able to spend more time getting to know our visitors. The small shops in Graeagle are not real busy and the shop keepers often will visit and talk about their favorite things to do around the area. This is a really friendly little town to visit.
